I grew up on Aerosmith, Sabbath, Rush, UFO, Rainbow, Scorpions, Judas Priest, Nugent, AC/DC and a host of others. I also enjoy progressives such as Pink Floyd, Yes, Kansas, and more recently Dream Theater. I'd like to say I'm influenced by Steve Vai, but I am am but a mere mortal and above him there is no other. I play a Fender Strat American Standard through a Mesa Boogie Subway Rocket. Effects include a Digitech RP5 and a Morley Bad Horsie. Other than "rock", its hard to catagorize my music because I experiment in so many directions.

I started playing in college on a cheap guitar my friend gave me (thanks Jed). I was hooked. The fisrt guitar I bought was a Kramer Striker. I was sold by Vivian Cambell's playing and of course it was cheap. I now play a Fender Strat that my brother gave me (thanks Pat) but I never seem to have enough time to play. I'm a research scientist in molecular genetics by day and a father of three by night.
